Julian Sampson

Julian has always lived and worked in East Kent and has had a lifetime interest and involvement with music. Throughout his time at Dover Grammar School he took an active part in all musical activities, learning the violin and piano. His interests soon turned to the organ and choral singing. He was Accompanist and Assistant Director of the Dover Youth Choir.

He has sung with the Canterbury Singers for nearly twenty-five years as well as other local chamber choirs. In 1999 he took over the role as Accompanist to the Choral Society and became Director in 2001 in succession to James Gillespie. In 2005 he was appointed Organist and Choirmaster at St. Clement's Church Sandwich. Professionally he spends his working life as a Chartered Surveyor specialising in rural property matters and works locally in Sandwich.
